T-shirts are marked at 22.00 and The Tote bags are 18.00. What a great way to help those effected by Hurricane Sandy.

About Us

"Storm Support is a design-centric effort to aid in the relief of those affected by Hurricane Sandy. It will be the main e-commerce hub enabling the sale of merchandise sourced from artists and designers who have been inspired to donate their skill to support those in need. All profits made on each purchase will be donated directly to rebuild the lives of the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
As New Yorkers, we have witnessed first hand the devastation Superstorm Sandy has caused to the homes, lives, and business of our friends, families, neighbors and communities throughout the Northeast. It quickly became clear to us the only thing that mirrored the need for support, was the desire to provide it.
So, we joined together to bring you Storm Support, a design-centric effort to aid in the relief of those affected by Superstorm Sandy. Storm Support serves as a hub, bringing together artists and designers who have been inspired to donate their skills to support those in need with the people across the world that are proudly committed to helping the victims of Sandy rebuild their lives and communities.
All proceeds on each purchase will be donated directly to relief efforts committed to the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
Thanks for your support!'

I couldn't wait to style these fantastic T-shirts and Totes.
I paired them with a current trend. Black Leather Biker Jacket, Boyfriend Jeans and a pair of classy heels.

Pencils Of Promise, Justin Bieber Girlfriend Polyvore Contest

Pencils Of Promise Presents The 2010 Multi City Event Challenge

Pencils Of Promise Presents The 2010 Multi City Event Challenge (clipped to polyvore.com)

 How it all began
"what do you want most in this world"
"a pencil"

I reached into my backpack,
handed him my pencil, and watched as a wave of possibility washed over him.

A smile erupted and his eyes brightened. And I saw then the profound power and promise brought through something as small as a giving a pencil to just one child.
Over the next five years I backpacked through more than 50 countries, handing out thousands of pens and pencils across six continents.
These pencils, these small pieces of potential, led to powerful conversations with local parents and children across countless cultures and languages. From years of listening to their words, it became clear that there was a need for an international nonprofit that was led on-the-ground by a staff of locals from within each country, required village participation in each school, and deeply supported, trained and tracked each student to ensure their success.
These are the guidelines on which PoP was founded in October 2008 in hopes of building just one school by creating a movement of people who saw themselves as global citizens, regardless of age or status.

Since starting with just a $25 deposit, we have now built more than 50 schools.

In the process we have learned a lot. We’ve learned that education is a living, breathing entity that with the right nurturing, evolves into something spectacular. We’ve learned that every piece of its growth is a challenge and that each pencil, each dollar, each volunteer is essential.
Pencils of Promise is now a global movement of passionate individuals, many of which are the most dynamic and impactful young leaders we have ever seen. They are committed to supporting a world with greater educational opportunity for all. Thousands have joined us, making contributions through acts both large and small. There are more than 75 million children without access to education, and we intend to change this.
We are proof that a generation empowered will empower the world.
One child, one pencil at a time.

Fall 2013 Wedding Dress Trends

This season, wedding dresses went demure. The big trends included cap sleeves, lace overlays and mermaid skirts. Intricate beading and hand-finished touches on gowns at Monique Lhuillier and Douglas Hannant told brides-to-be that these are heirloom-quality dresses you'd be proud to pass on to future generations.

What's your favorite wedding dress look from Fall 2013?
